When it comes to awards show hosting duties, Carrie Underwood’s no rookie. Not only did Wednesday’s Nashville ceremony mark her eleventh (!) time hosting the show with fellow country star Brad Paisley, but it marked her second time hosting while pregnant. The Cry Pretty singer matched her outfit changes to her hosting anniversary, wearing a whopping eleven different looks throughout the night. Underwood, 35, is expecting her second child with husband Mike Fisher, who will join her 3-year-old son, Isaiah.Paisley prodded her onstage about the sex of her second child in their opening dialogue, and after a great deal of reluctance, Carrie finally revealed that she’s having a “Willie” (aka a boy). Topping off the evening of celebration, Underwood took home the 2018 award for Female Vocalist of the Year. Congratulations, Carrie! As the reigning CMA New Artist of the Year, Maren Morris felt right at home at this year's ceremony last night, which celebrated the best names in country music. For her triumphant return to the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, the singer teamed up with stylist Maher Jridi on not one but three statement-making dresses by Francesco Scognamiglio (for the red carpet), Tadashi Shoji (for the stage, where she performed alongside Niall Horan), and Zuhair Murad (for the after-party). Her pre-show look featured lace appliqués and metallic detailing in at the bodice, along with a front leg slit, while her second ensemble, a floor-length purple velvet gown with flare sleeves, gave off bohemian vibes. And she ended the night on a high note with sheer sleeves and a plunging neckline.
