I Get Compliments On My Skin Every Time I Wear This Clean Foundation
"Erin, your skin is glowing," one co-worker wrote in the chatbox when I joined a team Zoom last week. I received similar compliments throughout my meeting-heavy day.
Sorry for bragging, but my skin did look good. I was wearing Kosas' Revealer Skin-Improving Foundation, which has quickly become my go-to foundation as it offers enough coverage for acne and post-breakout dark spots without a heavy, cakey finish.
The foundation is inspired by the brand's cult-favorite Revealer Concealer, which founder Sheena Yaitanes says people love to use all over their faces in lieu of foundation. I am one of those people.
Along with buildable medium coverage, the formula offers mineral SPF 25 protection and doubles as a treatment that smoothes, brightens, and hydrates skin, thanks to ingredients such as squalane, niacinamide, pro-vitamin B5, hyaluronic acid, and peptides. There are 36 shades to find your perfect match.

While you can use your fingers or a Beautyblender to apply the foundation, I personally like to use a brush. I add a pump of the foundation to a fluffy foundation brush, dot it on the various areas of my face that need coverage, and then blend and buff it out. The finished product looks like my skin, just better and with a subtle glow, which I further enhance with a bit of cream blush and highlighter on my cheeks.
I have fairly balanced skin with a T-zone that gets a little oily during the day, so most foundations tend to budge. However, this one holds up all day and feels like I'm not wearing makeup at all. In addition to WFH days, I've worn it in windy snowy weather and the foundation doesn't oxidize or smear.
I typically wear concealer and skip foundation, but this is the one product that's finally converted me.
